HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Today is my turn on the blog tour for mel sherratt new book.

Six months after the stabbing of fifteen-year-old Deanna Miller, someone is coming after the teenagers of Stockleigh, as a spate of vicious assaults rocks this small community. Revenge for Deanna? Or something more?

Detective Eden Berrisford is locked into a race against time to catch the twisted individual behind the attacks – but when her own niece, Jess Mount, goes missing, the case gets personal.

With the kidnapper threatening Jess’ life, can Eden bring back her niece to safety? Or will the people of Stockleigh be forced to mourn another daughter…?

My Review

I was very pleased when I received the chance to read this book as I have found that the books that Mel Sherratt writes are full of emotions.

While this book is not a typical thriller as it isn’t hard hitting as many others I have read but what it does have is one of the most suspenseful and emotional books that I have ever read.  This book deals with a parent’s worst nightmare.  Jess is missing when going over to see her boyfriend.

This had a lot of suspense as they race against time to save Jess.  Eden is the aunt of Jess and is the one that is trying to find out what happened to her niece.

I am truly appreciative of this book as it deals with the tough issues and how this was handled was done brilliantly.  I love how Eden is portrayed as a tough lady but you can tell she has a heart of gold.

I was very impressed with how well the story unfolded as it showed a great deal of sophistication.  While not hard hitting what I liked is that it showed a slow increase of fear and desperation.  It was more about developing the characters and showing just what could happen.

Way to go to the author for this wonderful novel and am really looking forward to the next book about Eden.
